I grew up in Northern Michigan, always outside in the forest around our home. Being in nature has consistently been the one thing I can count on to ground and inspire me. It reminds me how connected all things are.
Creating terrariums makes me feel the same way. I believe that spaces with plants are happier and more peaceful places to be and I get so excited to help people bring living things into their lives in creative and beautiful ways. All of my work has plants, crystals, and other natural elements, existing in harmony. I use hand-gathered and locally sourced materials; each piece is one-of-a-kind.
My dog, Sampson, led me to an incredible patch of glowing green moss on a hike in 2008. I took a piece of that moss home and made my first terrarium. I’ve been building custom pieces ever since. My work ranges from private commissions to public installations, and can be purchased through my online shop and select retail locations.
My work has expanded into other forms of art, but is always grounded in nature.
